Volunteer with SCI Dorchester

Do you have ideas on how to get more people civically active? Do you have an interest or passion for engaging youth, uniting individuals and diverse groups, developing leaders and connecting citizens? Why not use your time and talents volunteering for SCI Dorchester to help build social capital and increase civic engagement in the community.

Youth: If you are a youth between the ages of 12-17 click here to learn more about the SCI Dorchester Youth Council and the volunteer opportunities it offers.

Dorchester Resource Guide: Assist with the development of the first community resource guide in Dorchester.

City-Wide Dialogues: The project is engaging residents in respectful, candid discussions to increase understanding, decrease stereotyping and build new trust and community relationships.

Marketing and Public Relations: Promote SCI Dorchester events, programs and services in major and local press outlets.

Community Liaison: Attend community meetings and special events in the Dorchester neighborhoods.

Volunteer Relations: Help recruit and train volunteers for the organization.
