Little do people know that that the best Italian sub is made right here in Dorchester. The Asmont Adams Market and Liquor is where you'll find it.
They have many varieties of hot and cold subs. They also have some of the best pork chops and steaks available for sale.
Asmont Adams Market is a small convenience store with a beer and wine selection. But their deli is what sets them apart. Their prices are low and the subs are a great value.

Last Thursday evening I dined at a local treasure. I'm talking about the Ashmont Grill near Ashmont Staion.
If you're not familiar with this restaraunt, I highly recommend it. A South End style eatery with more affordable prices. I don't want to mislead you as it is still somewhat pricey. But it is a pleasure to have such a trendy and high quality establishment in our neighborhood.
I must admit that I was more focused on my attractive date than the hustle and bustle going on around me. But as I was leaving it seemed every table was filled as well as the bar area. It made me proud to bring someone outside the community to an impressive landmark.
With the completion of the Asmont revitalization, hopefully, this spring the Ashmont Grill can help make it a destination. From what I understand the current owner is planning to open another restaraunt within the Trinity project. All I can say is they have set their standards high. I look forward to it.
