On Saturday, February 2, children aged 8-14 years old are invited to join MIT student-athletes for a morning of free sports clinics and free admission to MIT Varsity Athletic Contests. Clinics available for the following sports: field hockey; volleyball; basketball; soccer; squash; fencing.

A pizza lunch will be provided following the final clinic and all participants are encouraged to attend MIT varsity athletic events following the lunch hour.

Check-in is from 8 am-8:45 am and Clinics run from 9 am-1 pm at MIT's Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center, 120 Vassar Street, Cambridge. Please have children wear sweatpants/shorts, t-shirts, sneakers and tie back long hair. Free online registration from January 9-February 1 and free onsite registration from 8 am-8:45 am on February 2 in the lobby.

You can learn about energy efficiency and clean energy this weekend at the Going Green Expo at the Bayside Exposition Center in Dorchester  on February 2 and 3.  Here are just some of the great offerings of the Going Green Expo:

- Green Energy, Building & Decorating Zone with builders, energy companies, decorators and more
Over 30 Free Workshops - all day - both days - on topics ranging from Solar Energy to Saving Money through Efficiency.

Save a Tree (or ten!) Clear prickly vines that are killing saplings. Dress in layers and leave your nylon down jackets at home, the prickers can pull and rip them. We'll have leather gloves for protection, wear glove liners to keep your hands warm if it's very cold. Bring garden clippers if you have them, there'll be plenty for those wo don't.
