This Saturday, February 9th, SCI Dorchester Youth Council will celebrate its 4th Annual Safe Love event to promote healthy lifestyles and positive alternatives for teens (14-18 year old) The cost is free. Safe Love Info Line: (for Teens, Volunteers and Participating Organizations) For Teens: Free event for teens between the ages of 14-18 year olds. You must have a ticket for admission. BAKE SALE Delicious homemade baked goods will be sold on Saturday Feb 9th and Sunday Feb 10th at the Back of St. Brendan Church after each Mass.  The bake sale is hosted by the 7th and 8th grade students to raise money for their Class trip to Washington D.C., which they will be taking in May. Your continued support is appreciated very much!

DotWell CivicHealth is nearly two weeks into its 2008 tax season, but we still need volunteers to help on weeknights. I'm pitching a final plea for you--people who live and work in Dorchester-- to help us. February is the busiest month of tax prep and many of our taxpayers and volunteers have been staying late into the night because even though we have more volunteers than last year, the taxpayer turnout has been enormous.
This is a critical time for us--it is hard on working families when they have to wait several hours to get their taxes prepared. We have also had to turn some taxpayers away and ask them to return because we've been so busy. As staff of DotWell, Codman Square Health Center, and Dorchester House, I am begging you to help! Even if you can only help in February, that would be terrific.
