FREE Countdown to Kindergarten Play to Learn group for children ages 1-3 and their caregivers at the Holmes Elementary. Come play and learn with us! Any Boston resident with a 1-3 year old child can attend. Registration is required, but is ongoing, and each playgroup is limited to 8-15 families. The playgroup leader speaks English and Haitian. Art supplies will be available in the rear kitchen of Dorchester House for teens ages 13-19 from 2-6pm during school vacation for teens to create projects representing why do not use tobacco and are members of The 84. The DotWell Teen Center received a grant to promote The 84, which consists of 84% of MA teens do not smoke, and they hope to acquire 84 projects for The 84 Art Exhibit, to be held Saturday, May 10th from 10am-1pm in the Dorchester House gym.

Dancing with the Stars is a gala fundraising event for Fields Corner Main Street where Boston celebrities are paired with professional dancers in a fun competition. There are several exciting volunteer positions available for this event and those who volunteer will be able to attend the event. There will be an orientation on Wednesday, April 23rd, 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center. This is an opportunity for prospective volunteers to learn about the different positions available and to meet the staff.
