Twenty-seven Department of Early Education and Care licensed childcare providers in Dorchester, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Hyde Park, and Roslindale, who can have up to six infants to 6-year-olds in their homes, have contracted with Bartholomew Family Child Care to serve at present 130 children. Quality childcare is provided in a safe and nurturing environment. This allows parents to feel secure as they work, attend school, and address other personal issues. Provider supports include career development, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation referrals and assistance with basic supplies.
