Mayor Menino Launches Environmental Grant Program The Mayor’s Office of Environmental and Energy Services has developed a neighborhood- based Transportation & Air Quality Grants Program in an effort to reduce local air pollution and advance the city’s commitment to sustainable transportation. The $200,000 program is being launched in partnership with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs and will offer up to $50,000 of funding for individual Boston-based projects. Copies of the Request for Proposals (RFP) are available at www.cityofboston.gov/environment or in Room 805 of Boston City Hall and can be submitted through January 19, 2007 .
