Parents of 3rd or 4th graders with migrational backgrounds needed for research study
Parents of 3rd or 4th graders with migrational family backgrounds sought for research project in May 2008
Faculty members of the University of Massachusetts at Boston and the Goethe-University in Frankfurt, Germany are currently conducting a study investigating the academic achievement of children with migrational family backgrounds (first- or second-generation immigrants). As part of this project, we are looking for families of students currently attending the third or fourth grade of elementary school.
Parents willing to participate in the study will be asked to fill out two questionnaires, which takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes. The questionnaires will be mailed to participating parents. All documents, questionnaires as well as information sheets, are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Polish and Turkish.
If you are interested in taking part in this study or know someone, who might be willing to participate, please contact the primary investigator, Emily Frankenberg, via e-mail: Emily.Frankenberg001@umb.edu
Thank you!
