Upcoming Weekend Service Diversions

 Bus shuttle service to replace Red Line service

Three Weekends In September

September 6-7, 13-14, and 27-28.

In
an effort to allow the MBTA’s track maintenance crews access to Shawmut
station, three weekend bus diversions between Ashmont and JFK/UMass stations
will be necessary.  

These
weekend service diversions will be effective at the start of service each Saturday
morning and will continue through the end of service on Sunday.  The first diversion begins the weekend of September
6.   

Ashmont,
Shawmut, Fields Corner, and Savin Hill customers can access service along
Dorchester Avenue at any designated bus stop. 
Buses will make all stops along Dorchester Avenue in both directions.

Normal
Red Line service will resume at the start of service each Monday.

These
weekend shutdowns are scheduled to allow the MBTA’s track maintenance crews
access to replace and repair the track and drainage infrastructure within the
newly renovated Shawmut Station.
