What would you think of a Bruegger's Bagel Bakery in Peabody Square? A Survey Viet AID, a non-profit organization and SMAMS neighbor in Fields Corner, is working with Boston University students on a survey designed to measure neighborhood opinion on a hypothetical case - a Bruegger's Bagel Bakery moving into Peabody Square.

There are currently no plans to open a Bruegger's, but your answers would help Viet Aid and the BU class to gauge the possible reaction if a Bruegger's were proposed in the future. I was arranging to meet a friend for lunch before a meeting I have coming up at SCI Dorchester's Fields Corner office. With this bitter cold, the choice was easy--Pho 2000 and its bowls of steaming noodle soup is just the thing in this weather. Of course, I know Dorchester abounds with other places to get great warming treats.

Have you tried the Golden Beet and Goat Cheese Salad at the Blarney? It is so good I’ve ordered it the last 5 times I've been there! The odd combination of semi sweet beet, crunchy pecans and creamy goat cheese with a light lemon vinaigrette drizzled on top is worth the walk! read more »
