Special Meeting for Dorchester-Mattapan Community
Location(s)
As many of you know, we have a big threat to all state and local programs for schools, public safety, health care, the elderly, environment, youth, housing etc. because of the Question 1 referendume proposal to end the state income tax. We think we all need to pull together to educate our members, congregants, and residents about the great threat this is to everything we do now and have worked for years for. This proposal got 45% of the vote in 2002 and economic times are maybe even tougher now.
A special meeting for Dorchester-Mattapan community and religious leaders from community organizations, churches, social service agencies civic organizations, and unions is planned for Wednesday August 13 at 9:00 AM.
Please let us know if you can come.
**Please invite other community, civic, religious, and union leaders who you would want to have working on this with you.
