About Me: From 1998 to 2004 I owned and operated a store called The Pet Connection. It was a full service pet grooming/pet supply store, which was on Dorchester Ave. in the St. Mark's area. I was also a volunteer for the St. Mark's Area Main Street organization and one of the founding board members. I also served as a volunteer for the Citizens School Program, in which students came to my shop to learn about pet care. After closing my shop, I got more involved in elementary and special education. I was a volunteer for one year as a parent liaison for the Read Boston program at my children's school in Dorchester. Over the past couple of years I have been working as a paraprofessional in special ed. In October 2008 I will be opening a family child care service in my home of Dorchester, near Shawmut T.
